What Rekonix Lite does not do

The packet is a cash-basis Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss built from the statements you upload. These are the edges, in the order a new owner meets them.

  • One business per packet. A packet holds one year of up to 12 months, plus any further years of the same business bought with it; US dollars only.
  • Statements as the bank's own PDF (up to 20 MB), or a CSV, Excel or QBO/QFX/OFX export; an export needs the account's opening and closing balance for the year typed in when the file does not carry them. The free first look on the home page takes one statement of up to 4 MB, 12 pages and one month.
  • A statement with more transactions than can be read in one pass must be split by date range.
  • Investment, brokerage and PayPal accounts are not supported.
  • Scanned statements usually read; a scan may be flagged for your check. A statement that will not add up is usually missing a page — re-download it from the bank.
  • Checks the bank lists by number only print on their own line until you name them.
  • Cash never deposited is not on any statement and not in the packet.
  • No receivables, payables, inventory or current-year depreciation; equipment appears only if you list it.
  • A loan whose statements are not uploaded is left off the Balance Sheet, and its payments show as owner draws.
  • Deposits from a card processor or marketplace (Square, Stripe, PayPal, Shopify, Amazon and the like) are recorded as Sales at the amount deposited, net of the processor’s fees; the fees are not shown as a separate expense, so the gross figure on a Form 1099-K will be higher than Sales here.
  • Payroll shows as what was paid from the accounts (net pay and payroll-service debits), not gross wages. Your tax preparer will still need the payroll service’s reports for wages and payroll taxes, and owner pay and benefits are treated differently depending on how the business is taxed, so point them out to the preparer.
  • Tax-line numbers follow the 2025 forms; the 1099 list covers payees paid from a bank account only.
  • Up to 60 statements are read free per unpaid packet (120 across your unpaid packets); past that you unlock the packet and still pay once. One free first look per visitor per day.
  • Purchasing may be paused during maintenance; uploading and previewing continue.
